Coming Home

Waiting to unload

lambs in our barn
On Friday, our sheep came home.  Ten sweet ewe lambs including one black sheep arrived Friday afternoon.  Their feet were bathed and they were introduced their new home.  They were happy to back in a barn.  I don't think the trip was very fun for them and they took to their new home easily.  They dug into their hay and water and wandered around the barn.

Of course, we spent a lot of time with them since they came.  Some are much friendlier than others.  One, Woolamina as we've named her, is always the first to want to take grain from our hands and have a nice pet.  She has to be pushed off sometimes to allow the others a chance.  Some are still very skiddish but more and more are realizing that we offer good treats and gentle petting.   In time, I'm sure they will all look forward to visits.
